“Herpes Prevention” is actually pretty ambiguous, since it could possibly mean two things; the first is preventing herpes from spreading between people, and the second is preventing outbreaks from appearing. This article is about the latter topic, but a new article will soon appear on the former!
Preventing outbreaks from appearing
The main idea behind preventing outbreaks from appearing is to strengthen your immune system. Now there are several ways to go about this, but the main points are eat well, sleep well and exercise.
- Eat well. You don’t necessarily need to go on a diet to improve your eating, just integrate some key concepts and you’ll do just fine. Eat a lot of fruits, vegetables and nuts, try to stay away from white carbohydrates and eat more of the wholegrain type. Cut down on empty sugars and eat a lot of protein from fish and poultry. The key here is to diversify your meals, you want to be eating food from all different kinds of sources. The second key is the less processed it is, the better. If you follow just those two guidelines you’ll do just fine!
- Sleep well. You need at least six hours of consecutive quality sleep every night. By quality I mean disturbance and noise free, in a comfortable bed at a comfortable temperature. While there’s a lot to say about this topic, the main idea is to live an active life during the day, and have a tranquil resting spot at night.
- Exercise. You need to exercise everyday, in some shape or form. You don’t necessarily need to go all Rocky on yourself, but study conducted showed that people need at least 30 minutes of walking everyday. This is the bare minimum! I would like to say at least twice or three times that in order to feel good and strengthen your immune system.
There’s also some supplements that you can take if you want that extra boost. If this is something you’re interested in, I recommend you head on over to the lysine and herpes-post for more information.
Awesome! Now that we’ve got that covered, let’s go over to step number two: Herpes Treatments!
